April 30th was the celebration for the Queen's Birthday. It was fun to see many people dressed in orange. We took a trip to the Zaanse Schans, a place where there are several working windmills close together.
The sails on this one were all decorated to shine and sparkle in the sun.
The windmills were so beautiful against the bright blue sky. It was one of the only sunny days we've had so far,
Just couldn't resist getting a picture of this family out for a holiday swim. "Come along children! And tell your Dad to stay close behind."
Notice Elder Moore's orange tie. He was right in style. Each of these windmills has a certain function. Some are sawmills, some mill grain and
this one was used to grind spices. Boy, did it smell good in there.
A fijne dag in Nederland!!
Elder Moore needed a new shoe, but couldn't decide which one fit best.
Which is your pick?
Afterwards, we met with the Elders and Sisters for an orange dinner at Elder and Sister DeLeeuw's house in Amsterdam. We had orange jell-o, carrot sticks, orange chicken, and orange frosted tampoesen. Yum!
Then it was time to do the LIMBO.
How low can you go? Pretty low if you're wearing orange overalls.
